AS WE MAKE NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS, I WANT TO CHALLENGE YOU TO MAKE NEW FOOD RESOLUTIONS. THAT’S RIGHT! NEW FOOD RESOLUTIONS. TRY DIFFERENT THINGS. NEW THINGS THAT YOUR PALETTE IS NOT USED TO TASTING. SHOCK IT! SURPRISE IT! MAKE YOUR MOUTH HAPPY AND GIVE IT A KICK WITH SOMETHING LIKE, RAW GARLIC, RAW MINT, GINGER, DANDELION, CACTUS, POMEGRANATE, ETC.

JUST RESOLVE TO EAT NEW. TO EAT DIFFERENTLY. SPEND MORE TIME IN THE PRODUCE SECTION THAN EVER BEFORE. HANG OUT THERE, TOUCHING, SMELLING, LOOKING, SNIFFING AND STARING AT FOODS YOU USUALLY RUSH BY. FOODS YOU TYPICALLY IGNORE ARE NOW DEMANDING YOUR ATTENTION AND REQUIRING YOU TO EXPERIENCE THEM. THEY ARE WAITING TO INTRODUCE THEMSELVES TO YOU. DON’T BE SCARED TO GO UP TO A GOLDEN BEET OR A BOK CHOY JUST BUY ONE, TAKE IT HOME, CHOP IT UP, EAT IT RAW, COOK IT. YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU DID. I PROMISE!
